Abstract:

Work on the completion of a pilot system for mechanical translation of German scientific and technical text into English is described. This report describes the effort performed in the area of grammar, formalism, programming, linguistic description and lexicographic description. This report also describes the results of an experiment performed during the reporting period which was designed to show the systems capability to produce quality mechanical translation.
