Abstract:

RbCl doped KCl crystals of five different compositions were grown by the Czochralski method in air and fabricated into forging blanks. These were hot forged to produce fine grained polycrystalline billets. Results of mechanical tests, chemical evaluation and microstructural stability observations are presented.
