Abstract:

The first semi-annual report is made of a computer aided study to develop a large signal analysis of the equiangular spiral amplifier also called the Radial Beam Traveling Wave Tube RBTWT. Mathematical descriptions of the model for computer analysis is given. Results of spiral circuit analysis, special circuit dispersion characteristics for higher order modes and a tape approximation spiral circuit analysis are presented.
