Abstract:

The Advanced Base Logistics Envelope ABLE Model permits the projection of requirements for facilities at an advanced base for an armed contingency situation. The Model offers to a Navy base-development planner an extensive capability to input criteria for calculating the requirements for selected facilities, including a simple default mode of operation. The output from the Model provides an estimate of requirements for both facilities and base operating personnel at an advanced base for a specified contingency operation. This report, the second of five volumes, is a guide to the user in the operation of the Model.
