The detailed pressure distribution, velocity, and boundary layer properties of an axisymmetric body in a fluid flow are useful information for the proper treatment of hydrodynamic design for such bodies. Use of the Douglas Potential Flow Program and the Douglas Boundary Layer Program have been shown to be accepted methods by which this information can be obtained. The two programs, their input and output, and some of the ways data obtained may be applied to practical problems are described. A Way of accounting for the viscous effect on the pressure distribution about a body caused by the boundary layer is given. The method is applied to a typical body and results are compared with experimental data.
