The objective of this series of tests was to demonstrate that the net thrust and airflow of the TFE731 Engine may be increased at Mach 0.6, 20,000 feet, standard atmosphere with the use of variable geometry that tends to increase the low pressure rotor speed or the engine airflow at a constant LP rotor speed.
