Abstract:
The violent polarization of political forces between revolution and reaction has spawned an intense breeding ground for the urban insurrectionist. Obviously, the complexity of the modern city makes it vulnerable to the poor mans weapons of the Molotov cocktail as against the rich mans technology. Thus far, military incursion has proven to be the most effective method of combatting the dedicated urban insurgent from the short range point of view. Examination is made as to the effects of early or belated military intervention and how the populace and target government are affected. The criteria for passive and active military intervention are examined. Recommendation is made for the organization of a single aggregate police and military intelligence center that would also function as a security operations division.
