Abstract:
The environmental study covers the area 35-45 degrees N and 140-160 degrees W as well as Ocean Weather Stations OWSs P and N. The study area has been divided into four sub-areas. The OSWs are included because their nearly complete chronological data set is the only marine data in the vicinity which permits persistence duration studies in a detailed manner. Though the OWSs are quite remote from the study area, inter-comparison of individual elements that are available for all areas in Part A - Probability Graphs will aid in estimation of persistence values in the study area by use of those given for the OWSs in Part B - Persistence Graphs.
