A numerical finite difference method has been applied to the computation of a BRL-105 shaped charge. The model uses an Eulerian formulation of the defining conservation laws and these hyperbolic partial differential equations are solved by a second order accurate difference method. This method is twostep and explicit. The motion of the free surfaces, which are the important features in this problem, are explicitly computed by integrating the set of ordinary differential equations defining the trajectories of tracer particles located at all the free surfaces. Interfaces are also maintained as discontinuities during the course of the calculation in a similar manner. The method seems to be flexible, stable and efficient for the problems included in this investigation.
