Assessing the Potential Impact of an Income Maintenance Program on Migration: Hypotheses and Suggestions for Research,
RAND CORP SANTA MONICA CALIF
Pagination or Media Count:
Research on the behavioral determinants of migration is a relatively recent endeavor, and the results are still tentative. Furthermore, few existing migration studies were designed to be used in determining the effects of national or regional human resource development policies on population redistribution. The author has sought to develop an analytical model of migration that could be used to anticipate side effects on population migration of major new policy proposals such as an income maintenance program.
