It is characterized by being small, light, operating from DC power sources, and in general having an output suitable for an analog computer. The second category encompasses the range of equipment suitable for use by the Airline and Air Transport users. This equipment is characterized by numerous displays indicating many facets of its operation, AC input power, and serial digital inputoutput interfaces conforming to ARINC standards.
