Examining the use of Raman scattering as a gaseous systems probe, this volume emphasizes the application of laser Raman gas diagnostics to fluid mechanics and combustion measurements. Topics ranging from the basic physics and chemistry involved in scattering measurements to present and potential applications in flame systems, industrial process control, and the atmosphere are discussed.
