Abstract:
The current research represents an attempt to formulate a mathematical model of the physiological parameters of heart-rate and oxygen consumption under varying heat levels and workloads. Stepwise multiple regression was performed to attempt to find a mathematical model for heart-rate beats per minute, and oxygen-consumption liters per minute. The models developed can be used to predict heart-rate and oxygen-consumption under varying thermal and workloads. Workload was found to correlate more strongly with heart-rate and oxygen-consumption than was heat level.
