Abstract:

The stability of kapron samples exposed to light depends on their type and nature of the treatment thermal stabilization, dyeing, etc.. Kapron samples thermally stabilized with saturated steam are less stable to photochemical degradation than samples thermally stabilized with hot dry air, as can be determined from the decrease in breaking and bending strength, wear resistance, etc. Kapron fabric is best protected from insolation by thermal stabilization with hot dry air.
