An accurate and efficient method has been developed for predicting transition from laminar to turbulent flow, based upon a phenomenological model originally devised for fully turbulent flows. The model is modified to account for low Reynolds number phenomena and is used to make a priori transition predictions. Primary emphasis focuses upon blunt-body flows predictions are also made for constant-pressure boundary-layer flows to provide as broad a data base as possible to assess model accuracy.
