Abstract:
A theory for the flow of inviscid fluids in channels of varying thickness is formulated in terms of a singular integral equation. For the situation where the channel is shallow, the theory is simplified appropriately and leads to an explicit solution for the channel with given walls. For jet problems an integral equation for the free streamline is obtained. This equation is solved for the problem of a jet issuing from converging plane walls. Author
