Abstract:
During the determination of antibodies to the streptococcus allergen in the passive hemagglutination reaction, it was established that in the patients with erysipelas, sera with a high level of antibodies were encountered 2-4 times more frequently than in the control group in donors. The presence of a high level of antibodies circulating in the blood was indicative of the presence of the prolonged contact of organism with the streptococcus, containing this antigen, since the antigens, having the property of allergen, possess weakly expressed antigenic properties. In patients with erysipelas, despite the presence of the relatively high level of antibodies, delayed type skin reactions without the addition of immediate reactions of the Arthus type are long retained.
