Abstract:
The article discusses communication lines which serve for long distance transmission of electrical signals of different types of communication. The different types of transmissions and the different requirements imposed on the distance and quality of communication make it necessary to use various structural and electrical parameters for communication lines. According to method of construction, communication lines are divided into overhead and cable lines. Overhead communication lines consist of metal wires suspended on special poles by means of insulators and fittings. Cable communication lines appear as a large number of mutually insulated metal wires, contained in protective sheathings.
