Abstract:
The WARRIOR trial is a multicenter, prospective, randomized, blinded outcome evaluation PROBE design evaluatingintensive medical therapy vs usual care in 4,422 symptomatic women with ischemia but no obstructive CAD. The studyaims to determine whether an intensive medication treatment strategy to modify risk factors in women with chest painandor abnormal stress tests, but non-obstructed coronary arteries will reduce their likelihood of dying, having a heartattack, stroke or being hospitalized. This project will activate 50-125 recruitment sites from across the US to enroll andfollow these women for up to three years to assess adverse outcomes.
