Abstract:

The perioperative staff at David Grant Medical Center DGMC sought a quick and reliable means for screening patients who may have undiagnosed obstructive sleep apnea OSA. The aims of this evidence-based practice EBP project were to implement the STOP-BANGscreening tool for risk stratification of OSA and compare our results with current literature and with military rates of OSA.
