Abstract:

In the military, operational readiness is the top priority. By preventing and treating dental disease, the military provider minimizes emergency and routine visits while maximizing the operational capabilities of forward deployed military assets. This operational impact analysis compared full coronal pulpotomy FCP against root canal therapy RCT in the cariously pulp exposed permanent molar to identify which of these two treatment modalities following a carious pulp exposure in a permanent molar is more operationally suitable in the US Armed Forces.
