Abstract:
Salivary acinic cell carcinoma AcCC is typically a low-grade adenocarcinoma found most commonly in the parotid gland. These tumors can undergo high grade transformationHGT and loco-regional recurrence and metastases. Histopathology of this tumor is characterized by acinar differentiation. This histopathology suggests conserved genetic driver events which immortalize cells. Recently NR4A3 has been reported as an oncogenic transcription factor in AcCC.
