Abstract:

This paper describes a method for delivery of data science tools and their capabilities to those that are not familiar with the setup, usage, and maintenance involved in using these tools. It demonstrates removal of the administration overhead required to gain the powerful advantage that more modern data science visualization tools offer, and ultimately provide a method for enabling a broader portion of the workforce to achieve rapid results and ease the overall use of the tools available to them. This paper follows the path of Initially beginning as simply building a tool to provide for a group in need, then requiring improvements in usability and iteration. Through this iteration, a network traffic visualization tool leveraging Jupyter Notebooks and Docker to rapidly provide a dashboard overview of network traffic health was developed, enabling a rapid capability delivered for nearly any environment and usable by the workforce unfamiliar with complex data science tools.
