A series of exploding-wire experiments involving copper, aluminum, tungsten, and titanium wires was performed as part of a program whose ultimate aim is to validate the multiphysics code ALEGRA. This work describes the results of these exploding-wire experiments and reports on the efficacy of a circuit model developed to predict key features in the data such as peak current and the timing of phase changes.
