Abstract:

This paper looks to propose a method for quickly estimating the change in power radiated from one LTE cell sector as thenetwork activity in the sector changes, for the purpose of assessing the interference at a receiver a considerable distanceaway from the sector. The method should be repeatable for any cell sector and be compatible with existing propagationmodels. The intent is to incorporate this method into new or existing probabilistic models for Long Term Evolution LTEnetwork aggregate interference, specifically those that can be sampled in a Monte Carlo simulation. We will explain thejustification of the technique in the context of the LTE pprotocol, propose an implementation, and suggest future work.
