The Acoustic Research Detachment ARD at Lake Pend Oreille in Bayview, Idaho is the Navys premier facility for structural acousticmeasurements and has supported every major submarine design development over the past 65 years. Lake Pend Oreille is Idahos largest, deepest, and quietest body of water, making it an ideal environment for acoustical testing.
