For that reason, military organizations need a change process that is capable of orchestrating effective and efficient changes without bringing chaos into the organization. This research investigates a suitable qualitative military modernization process model for the Malawi Defence Force MDF to respond to future threats. The study is an applied professional research case study that proposes a model based on Capability Based Planning CBP. This model provides a guide to understanding MDF socio-political situations that impact strategic military policies and posture.
