Abstract:
Change in the military is necessary for the organization to compete, grow, and improve while operating. For that reason, military organizations need a change process that is capable of orchestrating effective and efficient changes without bringing chaos into the organization. This research investigates a suitable qualitative military modernization process model for the Malawi Defence Force MDF to respond to future threats. The study is an applied professional research case study that proposes a model based on Capability Based Planning CBP. This model provides a guide to understanding MDF socio-political situations that impact strategic military policies and posture. It focuses on transformative worldview inquiry to examine trends and variables that provide political and social action to advance change.
