Demonstrated and published three key categories of results 1 development of a framework for upper bounds to EM response in the presence of noiseother sources of incoherence, generalizing the classical ray-optical brightness theorem, 2 derived upper bounds to the maximal free-space concentration of EN waves, particularly as they are confined below the diffraction limit, and 3 demonstrated large-scale inverse design as a tool for discovering state-of-the-art metasurface structures for applications such as lenses and LIDAR.
