Food, agriculture, and nutrition are important issues in public policy decision making. Decreasing Federal Governments regulatory role, increasing food prices, changing farm structure, using food as a foreign policy tool, ensuring food safety, balancing interactive domestic and foreign agricultural and other economic systems--all represent important national concerns.
