The energetic and toxicological properties of 1,3-dinitro-1,3-diazacyclohexane DHP, 3,3-bis3-nitro-1,2,4-oxadiazoly-4-yl-5,5-bis-1,2,4-oxadiazole LLM-200, methyl trinitropyrazol MTNP, and 1-methyl-3,5-dinitro-1,2,4-triazole DNMT are being determined to support an evaluation of DHP, LLM-200, MTNP, and DNMT as a replacement for energetics in current use, such as hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine RDX and trinitrotoluene TNT. This study evaluated the aquatic toxicity of DHP, LLM-200, MTNP, and DNMT with a bioluminescent bacterial aquatic toxicity test in order to make environment and health-based decisions regarding the selection of formulas and materials for further development.
