This is the final report for the abovementioned study which was approved in 2014 and initiated in 2015. A total of 11 spinal cord injury patients were enrolled to the study, and four centers participated in the screening and enrollment efforts. Though the study failed to meet its target sample size, it confirmed that the investigational protocol can be successfully carried out in a multi-center setting and when managing patient care in the immediate post-injury stage. Further, the preliminary study data showed promising potential for the study intervention. The investigators have submitted an application for a new grant that would support a follow-up study building upon the successes of this project.
