Airmen, their families, and Air Force civilian employees face a range of personal and work-related challenges. Such challenges can include living far from base, being periodically deployed, and having to deal with competing demands on their time. To assist Air Force leaders in identifying and prioritizing the needs of their communities, the Air Force sponsored the 2017 Air Force Community Feedback Tool--a self-reported needs assessment of Air Force community members. Community members included in this survey were active, guard, and reserve airmen their spouses and Air Force civilian employees. The ultimate purpose of this assessment, according to Air Force Instruction 90-501, is to inform Community Action BoardCAB Community Action Plans. CABs are a forum for community leaders and representatives from diverse organizations to collaborate to identify community issues, and to develop plans to address these issues see Air Force Instruction 90-501, 2013.
