Abstract:

The Scalable Effects Simulation Environment SESE computer program facilitates the study of the response of materials to incident laser radiation. SESE performs time-dependent simulations in a three-dimensional spatial domain and allows investigators to specify inhomogeneous material structures with arbitrary shape and constituent physical parameters. Laser radiation sources simulate the temporal dynamics of position, pointing, beam shape, and irradiance.
