Our primary objective is to characterize patients evacuated from point of injury POI who were transported to a medical treatment facility MTF in Afghanistan from January 2011 to December 2014, and determine how transport time influences patient outcomes up through 30 days, disposition and mortality up through 6 months and up through 1 year. The Specific Aims of this study are as follows 1 To determine the effect of transport time in patients with major traumatic extremity amputation and 2 To determine the effect of transport time in patients with non-compressible torso injury NCTI.
