Purpose Warfighters are at risk for musculoskeletal injuries and metabolic disorders which negatively impact physical performance and military readiness vitamin D adequacy may mitigate these problems. The purpose of this study was to assess baseline serum 25OHD, treat levels below 30 ngmL with supplementation, and correlate 25OH D with self-reported symptoms and body composition to develop a phenotype for low vitamin D status.
