Abstract:
Naval Expeditionary Combat Command NECC forces deploy to Bahrain in support of ongoing operations in the 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility, attached to Commander Task Force 56 CTF 56. The largest of these deployers are Naval Construction Battalions Seabee, Explosive Ordnance Disposal EOD, and Coastal Riverine Group CRG. Each of these deploy with Construction Mechanics CM, Enginemen EN, Logistic Specialists LSs, and other supporting military operational specialties to support and maintain common equipment in the execution of their missions. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to conduct a preliminary cost benefit analysis CBA to evaluate the feasibility and attractiveness of establishing an Expeditionary Maintenance and Logistics Facility in Bahrain. This facility will support Seabees, CRG, EOD, and other deployed NECC forces while reducing costs and improving efficiencies by pooling maintenance activities.
