The goal of Year Four Y4 of the RemTORN project was to maintain and expand the infrastructure that supports the development and implementation of RemTORN protocols. STRAC continued developing and deploying retrospective and prospective observational protocols. Over seven new protocols were developed and five studies closed or met enrollment. Six manuscripts were published and fifteen abstracts were accepted for presentation at conferences such as ACEP, ACS, EAST, EMS World Expo, MHSRS, NAEMSP, SOMA, SURF, and Texas EMS. Thirteen studies progressed with subject enrollment and participation, data analysis, and abstract and manuscript development. The growth and knowledge obtained in Y4 will help attain the goal for Year Five Y5, which is to follow studies through completion and analysis, and publish findings which will yield knowledge products including Clinical Practice Guidelines in order to decrease morbidity and mortality of prehospital trauma patients in both military and civilian settings.
