Abstract:

Inverse thermal analyses of friction stir welds are presented using numerical-analytical basis function, equivalent source distributions and temperature-field constraint conditions. Case studies are presented for inverse thermal analyses of AZ31-Mg-Alloy and Ti-6Al-4V friction stir welds using temperature-field constraints
