Abstract:

This report is an addendum to the earlier report, Rogers et al. 2018. The model-data inversion to create distributions of dissipation rate as a function of frequency of that report is repeated using ice concentration from the AMSR2 instrument processed using the Bootstrap algorithm. The resulting distributions or profiles are averaged, using groupings by buoy type, and ice concentration. The average profiles are fitted to polynomials following Meylan et al. 2014 and compared to other data and average profiles from the literature. Unlike the Rogers et al. 2018 study, we focus specifically on one particular wave experiment, Wave Array 3 of the Sea State cruise.
