This project investigated several problems in radar waveforms, waveform scheduling, and their implementation. Scheduling of sequences of radar waveforms, as in cognitive radar, has been shown, at least in simulations, to provide significantly improved performance over conventional rigid transmission of waveforms. The research and development were carried out in three research fronts 1 Radar waveform scheduling, in particular, the development of feasible statistical signal processing techniques for side lobe suppression and improved radar detection under Golay complementary waveforms.
