Purpose The purpose of this project is to provide comprehensive cross-sectional and longitudinal data on function, needs, preferences, and satisfaction of Veterans and service members with major upper limb amputation. Scope 1 Describe patterns of prosthesis use and abandonment in the VA and DOD identify the impact of amputation and prosthesis use on self-reported function, activities and participation and identify unmet prosthetic needs 2 conduct a one year follow-up study to examine changes in satisfaction with care and prosthetic services, self-reported function and quality of life and 3 assess the dexterity and activity performance in upper limb amputees. FindingsProgress This initial reporting period 30 September 2016 - 29 September 2017 focused on study start-up activities. There are no findings to report to date. Data collection is ongoing.
