This report presents a bounding analysis of the effects of fractionation of radionuclides in fallout from atmospheric nuclear-weapons tests on reconstructed radiation doses to atomic veterans. All dose reconstructions for atomic veterans have been performed by assuming that there was no fractionation of radionuclides in fallout, except for removal of noble gases. This report evaluates the potential importance of fractionation in estimating doses to atomic veterans by using assumptions that would be expected to maximize effects of fractionation.
