Software-Defined Networking SDN is a rapidly emerging technology that brings new flexibility to networking through the separation of the Control and Data Planes. At the same time, Named Data Networking NDN is another approach focusing on the information content of the object and not on its packet nature. This report explores the viability of coexistence and integration of NDN and SDN in the same tactical network and discusses its advantages and disadvantages.
