Abstract:

The militarys budget is decreasing but the number of new accessions is increasing to maintain the force structure. The services recruiting commands should leverage social media to increase exposure, tell their story, and increase brand recognition. This is equally important for the National Guard to continue to be relevant to the nation and states. This paper will research how each branch of service is using social media platforms to reach the desired audience and have a recommendation for the National Guard on how best to use social media to increase new accessions.
