Abstract:
Despite receiving Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP training, providers still fail to comply with NRP guidelines during neonatal resuscitation. In an effort to address performance gaps we devised a teaching paradigm, called Task-Oriented Role Assignment, in which we have delegated a specific set of tasks to be performed within the traditional role assignments used during NRP. We hypothesize this method will improve communication and task delegation, thereby improving NRP performance.
