Abstract:
This research provides evidence that titanium dioxide nanoparticle release in concrete applications is dependent on exposure to UV radiation and may not be associated with different pH conditions of wet weathering. This finding indicates that titanium dioxide nanoparticle integrated concrete can be classified as a source for titanium dioxide nanoparticle exposures when weathered under UV conditions, potentially affecting environmental and human health.
