Abstract:
Our main focus is to obtain an understanding of how security could be effectively integrated into real-time systems.Currently, there does not exist a comprehensive theoretical framework for the integration of security in embedded real-timesystems. Traditionally, real-time systems are modeled as a set of a periodic tasks with timing constraints that are thenscheduled on a collection of resources e.g ., the processor, memory, bus, etc.. A key insight that we believe will be usefulis in identifying th is resource management nature of RTS and the need for security policies to adhere to the strict guidelinesimposed as a result.
