Abstract:

The founding years of America were filled with contemplation on how best this country could be established. The Constitution sought to end the cycle of fortune which takes young republics into corrupt adulthood, a cycle alluded to in Washington s Farewell Address which warns against parties and emphasizes the value of morality and religion for our young nation ssuccess. Pausing in the current time, and looking forward into the future, the question emerges as to whether America has remained true on her course. Is America succeeding in her goal to break free of this wheel of fortune, or is she falling and failing like every other civilization in history.
