Abstract:

Currently there is no animal model for dengue disease. Non-human primates and mice have been useful for vaccine efficacy studies, but they do not reproduce human disease. Yucatan Miniature swine were examined as a novel animal species in which to study dengue virus infection, resultant immune responses, protective efficacy of the immune responses, and signs of illness with the aim of identifying an animal model for dengue disease. truncated
