The U.S. Navy is sponsoring a development directed toward upgrading the Air Force Electro-Optical Long Range Oblique Photography System EO-LOROPS to provide an additional nighttime infrared IR capability. In a previous study, PSR Report 2248, potential mission applications for IREO-LOROPS were proposed and discussed and a set of operational performance requirements was established. The present study was undertaken to investigate the extent to which this development could achieve those objectives.
